Guys just a heads up. I got an email today from "SARS" saying a payment has been made to me and I need to click a link to process it. Just a reminder to all that they won't send you a link to verify. Once a payment something is processed on efiling it is processed.

also got that email a few months back... wasn't sure about it so sent it to my bf's sister who is a CA and who said it was a scam as the link in the email didn't even open...
it opened when i clicked on it but i think it was a link that can only be clicked on once cause when i tried it again after a while there was an error message...

Reminds me of the 90s when they announced sars killed thousands and I was like WHAT? But perhaps it would be beneficial if SARS did kill a few thousand :P

I get that email often. Know it is a scam. Every once a while I would click on it. One takes you to an official sars efaile looking page where you can click on your corresponding bank. Top address is not https or even the correct address. Likely temporary. I would put in a fake no. Password f@(#you and otp of screw you

If I could I would put in fake stuff but I am more worried about keyloggers and trojans.

My dad received that email. I was using Teamviewer to do the monthly clean up and I told him he shouldn't download crap. He then replied that he never downloaded anything... then there was a pause and his next words made my blood go cold... "There was that email from SARS."

Ever shouted at your father? Like proper angry shouting? I did. Instantly purged all the browsers, all teh temp files, everything. Norton failed to stop anything so I spent the day muttering to myself while fixing his PC. Once I was finished I opened up Takealot and completed a purchase for KIS 2013. Told him to punch in his CC details and call me when the packaged arrived. Now I can rest a little easier knowing that my father's love of clicking links in his email will be a safer experience now. To say I was angry was an understatement. You try teach your family safe internet behavior and then they go and do that.

The thing is what is safe? I still see uplay and origin as malware and spyware. If I had not played WoW security would not matter that much to me. But ever since my time in azeroth it felt like someone would go out of their way to steal my enjoyment.

I only react to links that I get within a minute of a request.
