My sister is due for an upgrade on her phone but she is currently using MTN. Because of the lack of 3G for the area aswell as misinforming about roaming and effectively cutting off communication while we were overseas she decided to switch to vodacom.
I'm on Cell C and I have had no issues with them but the general feeling is they suck and as it is a business phone and number we cannot go without it so vodacom is the only real option.
The problem we are facing is vodacom wants 3 months of the companies bank statements which I refuse to print (240 pages) and refuse to open to anyone outside of our auditors. Has anyone else been having this issue with them or do people simply go with a personal phone and let the company pay for it?

Can your auditors supply you with a condensed statement? That might or might not work.

Just get a letter from the bank stating that it is the company bank account and that it is in good standing - and then a letterhead from the company saying that they agree that the phones can be bought. That worked for MTN for me - should work for Cell C

MTN also accepted it. But my sister is now looking at going personal with Vodacom and we can just pay her for the usage.
