I have no idea when the release date is. As far as I remember it should have been last year so maybe it was just for japan and the rest of the world gets it in this year.

Well episode 25 and 26 sucked. Death and Rebirth was just a horrible end to things since everyone died and he still strangles the only other person alive.
The movies takes a different turn. First movie has nearly no deviation from the series. The 2nd movie put twists and turns on everything there after up to the merge episode. The 3rd movie should be non series linked. The movies also feels like they are more focused on the characters themselves.
