Does anyone know where i can find low latency DDR2-800 RAM in Cape Town? I basically want high performance DDR2-800 RAM for my system that's quite long in the tooth but it does the job and i don't want to spend big bucks to build a new system. I'm upgrading from XP to 7 hence the need for more RAM.

CL5 should be fine. Don't think you'll even notice any difference if you get a CL4 kit.

Low-latency DDR2 RAM only ever made a difference in benchmarks - you couldn't really feel any difference in games, unless it hit the memory controllers quite hard.

Thanks for the response guys :) I understand all this but i have always preferred to get the best for my system possible and i would like to get CL4 modules, if possible. If anyone knows of a place in CT that can get these please let me know. If it just can't happen then i'll settle for CL5.

You're extremely unlikely to find CL4 modules unless you can find some place that is somehow keeping old stock, or you're willing to buy second-hand (in which case, keep an eye on the Carbonite forums). Most of the reputable online stores still sell CL5 modules.
