Hi
I run a windows 7 ultimate OS, and recently I got a blue screen of death.
What happened is that I was installing an anti-virus and after the installation the pc restarted itself, when it come back on it gave me a blue-screen,flashing numbers at the bottom right-hand of the screen, the blue-screen lasted for about 10 seconds and it restarted all over again.
This is like a continues cycle.
I pressed F8 to give me other options, went to the 'safe mode' tried uninstall the anti-virus from there but I was unable to.
Your help will be gtreatly appriciated.

Knowing what those error messages/codes are is crucial.

Is there an option for "Last Known Good Settings"? Have you tried it?

The flashing numbers are random numbers from 1-100, but they flash so quick that I dont get to see anything.

easiest way too fix it, format en reinstall windows

@Stuart yes it gives me that option as well but when I select it, it does the same thing all over.

@ADT, that was the last option I wanted to go for.

Hmm... that's not consistent with any BSOD behaviour that I've seen. Normally, one would see something like this:
... and then, the hex code and error message is the clue to figuring out what's wrong with it and how to fix it. There's plenty of online resources that give advice for figuring this kind of thing out; here's an example.

Out of interest, which anti-virus product was it? I have a nagging suspicion that you may have installed malware masquerading as an anti-virus product...

i noes, but from my horrible experiences I've had with BSOD, that sometimes the only alternative

Does it blue screen immediately after/during POST, or does it start loading Windows first and then die somewhere in the process?

A blue screen is more indicative of a hardware issue than a software one with Windows 7
I'd check your memory and hard drive... try reseating your IDE or SATA cable for the HDD and pull your RAM out, give the RAM bays on your mobo a blow to clear dust, then stick them back in and try again.

Try running the Kaspersky Removal Tool within Windows Safe Mode and see if that will uninstall it.
