I do find that sex - or at least talking about it - is still a taboo subject. People are more comfortable with violence than they are with lust.
@Riax - it is a pity about the guy - but I can understand his embarrassment / shame at who he had unprotected sex with. Part of him probably convinced himself that the risk was low - but eventually reason set in. At least me can learn to manage it now and hopefully not infect anyone else.
