Cant say I much interested in the premium content, but maybe I should buy it

AK sucks. I'm sorry. Tanks are still too strong. It's just a horrible imbalance. Plus it screws my (already pathetic) K/D ratio.

Have not played it but I dont find that surprising. Even in the base game the tanks, helicopters, lav's and the like become too much sometimes

would like to try it before I spend money on something I hate

Sadly i have to agree, sort of, but me still loves me tank wars

EPIC, BF 1942 will always stay a LEGEND game, man we used the LAN the hell out of that game

Same, When it first came out I did not have a pc that could run it so I wen to a friends house and we shared some or other PIII powered compaq deskpro

I was still lanning that after i got my p4. Epic it was, not sure how well it works on windows 7 though I know bf Vietnam does not run so well on it

we got it to run on Win7, worked fine as far as i can remember, was still back in 2009 sometime

You'll struggle to find any online BF 1942 servers due to the game's decreased popularity in favour of newer iterations. None of the local gaming services (SGS, IS Gaming, WAGE and MWEB Gamezone) offer BF 1942 servers.

An alternative would be to connect up via a VPN utility (such as OpenVPN; Hamachi is also very popular but I've personally had mixed results with it), and then "LAN" it that way.

(As an aside, I still have my BF 1942 install disc somewhere -- but I probably lost the CD key ages ago. Scratch that, it was Battlefield 2 that I had; never owned BF 1942.)

Has anybody been having issues with origin lately?

It seems to crash if I leave it minimized to the notification area for long periods of time, if I do not minimize it however it works just fine
