Hi Guys

We are about to launch the PCFormat digital magazine for Apple's newstand and we need beta testers (10 to be precise).

Your "job" as a beta tester will be to test out each magazine we release. The number currently sits at 1 (Braintainment) but in the next few weeks PCFormat will go live and then as the weeks progress many more titles including Animal Talk, Hype and TeenZone will be going live. In fact Panorama Publications aims to have its entire stable of magazines on the Newstand for our readers to purchase and read on their Apple devices. Android will come later.

If you want to be a beta tester please PM me your name, your email address and your iPad's UDID.

We will contact the beta testers in a few days and detail what we need from you.

I take it no iPad, no beta tester?
Else I'm willing.

For the moment we are focussing on the iPad so yes the beta tester offer is limited to iPad owners.

Can I just ask why you have only made this available to ipad owners, what about the android tablet owners?

My guess is that they are working on one at a time, and iPads are more prevalent so why not target them first?

Monty hit the nail on the head. Android is in the pipeline and AFAIK currently in development but right now the iPad version is ready for beta release.

Surveys may suggest that but I find it hard to believe

If you go sit somewhere where free wifi is available and look at what sort of tablets crop up you will find that most of them are android

I'm keen, but I'll have to get that UDID for you over the weekend sometime.

id be glad to help on the android side... when it arrives...
