Seriously though, Germiston Lake used to be a great place for family picnics and stuff when I was a kid. I'm not sure I would take my kid there for a picnic today.

Tbh, though, the surrounding area is not that bad. Just be careful, because Germiston borders on Alberton, so take a wrong turn somewhere and you may never get out again.

And don't go near Emarentia Dam. There is a snake there that has been killing dogs and biting kids.

Go to Emarentia Dam.

Bring your own shotgun.
