Sending number to sip in Access

I am in completely new territory. I need to create a button in my program that will send the phone number to dialer - not the ms dialer. They are using a program called X-Lite. All I need to do is send the number. I was told to use sip:<the number>

What is the best way to do it in MS Access?

If you open a pipe, it's basically like executing a command in the command prompt. If you know what the command should be to dial the number, it should be fairly easy.

Apparently Access has to have the command in a text file though, to send it through a pipe.

I'm afraid I have little to no experience with this myself, otherwise I could have been of more help.
