DOS wrote:The orcs of Tanoroth are on the march, wielding magic never seen before: bloody, deadly, reality-bending. The free nations of Rivellon are about to fall beneath their blades. Yet there are two unlikely heroes who can resist this savage magic: a condemned warrior released from his chains and a mystic heroine restored to life. Will they be strong enough to cope with the sins of their past? And will they be strong enough to counter the even greater threat that lurks behind the marching orcs?

rpgwatch wrote:Divinity: Original Sin takes place a few hundred years before the events that took place in the first Divinity. A couple of things that are already known from the Divinity universe already exist, like the council, the council soldiers and the Orcs - but other characters do not exist yet as they are simply not born at the time the game takes place or are very young, such as Zandalor and Arhu who at that moment is not a cat yet and walks on two feet. In addition, we will also experience the birth of The Black Ring. In Original Sin we learn more about the history of the Divinity Universe and experience some of the events ourselves.

:yay:

But will it require a permanent, quick internet connection?

I would most likely play the Mystic.

sheesh... ignored this one for some time... primarily because turn-based combat was announced and i lost interest...

they've packed a fair bit of content in and it's shaping up to be an interesting title.. i'd just have to get over the tic-tac-toe encounters...

Lairian are building quite a nice bit of IP with the Divinity brand...

I played their last offering Dragon Commander which was more RTS focussed

I actually fount the RTS component to be quite laughable when compared to Star/War Craft, but the diplomacy and empire management that went with was quite fun and the game was well put together and good looking.

I might look at this in a few months when I'm tired of Diablo 3 and its on sale

Didn't realize the game was this old. Atleast the early access. People can get bored before the game is released, imagine you go to a cinema and complain about a movie before you got to watch it. Insane.
