The life of a cat...

Chances are, if you've got a cat, you know how weird they can be. You also probably know that they have an obsession with electronics and will sit on keyboards, consoles, and anything else with a power button. There isn't really much you can do to stop them, as cats generally tend to do whatever they like, whenever they like; and sitting on warm, cozy electronics seems to be pretty high on their list of likes. However, one ISP in the UK did manage to come up with a solution for a customer whose cat wouldn't stay off his router.

My problem is not having them sit on the keyboard and mice - but in front of the screen so I cannot see what I am doing

Am I the only one that has trained his cat not to jump onto tables, desks and counter tops?

Where I have succeeded - yes. Can't squirt water in the direction of my PC - no matter how careful I am. So I take them off and stroke them - and they get back on hoping I will take them off and stroke them

My dad moered me when I was naughty. Is the cat better than I am?

Edit: Though I am not a parent yet, so not sure if I'll be using some level of corporal punishment on my children.

No, Cap. Pellet gun. I still have to sort the cats in my townhouse complex out (with something strong) before they eat my birds. :P

My cat is to the level that a certain body posture or tone of voice is enough negativity for it to know not to continue whatever it is doing. And yes, it still jumps onto the couch to let you rub it, rubs against my leg, sleeps on/in the bed during the winter, eats Friskies. That cat has a better life than I do. It doesn't have a name though. It is simply known as Die Kat. It is a eunuch.

PS: Don't give cats milk. They are lactose intolerant, just like most other adult mammals. (found this out only fairly recently)
PPS: Tribbs, that first cat of yours is adorable!
