What if you say "We don't support BEE so no illegal under the table sales will take place"?

Somebody please give these people the following advice “the road to hell is paved with good intentions” People need to have responsibility the government shouldn’t try and have a law for everything. Oh and I don’t drink but it is the principal of the story that bugs me
"I hear voices in my head but they are my own this time"
"Except for a battle lost, there is nothing so terrible as a battle won."

I did 2 years 9 months x3 - you cannot drink while you breastfeed.

I have made that mistake of asking someone if they are pregnant - now I wait until they say something that indicates that they are. I never congratulate them (getting pregnant is generally easy) - I wish them luck.

Shebeens are exempt since they are 110% BEE compliant and it is there religion to be drinking every waking moment.

Actually - the way I understand it - the licensing and regulation of shebeens is one of the aims of this otherwise ********* piece of legislation.

How to enforce it?

Probably with the same amount of ineptitude and corruption as any other law. :?

A surprising amount of modern pseudoscience is coming out of the environmental sector. Perhaps it should not be so surprising given that environmentalism is political rather than scientific.

Had a good response from a friend when I told him about this thread.

"Alcohol ban plan for moms-to-be?"

"They should've kept the alcohol away from them to start off with, then a whole heap wouldn't have gotten knocked up!"

lmga

if you are stupid enough to drink while pregnant, you should be removed from the gene pool...

I really can't see this working, they will lose 50% of their sin tax for this, plus the breweries will get nailed financially as a result...
