I have quite a few PC's lying around so I thought I should post pics of them here:
Here are the first two, both AMD systems:
Athlon XP 2500+ (1.8Ghz sktA)
1Gb DDR400
Gigabyte GA-7VT600-L mobo
Nvidia 6200(256Mb DDR2)
80Gb Seagate barracuda HDD
Just ignore the Sahara badge as this is not the original case, got this one from a friend and decided to use it as it had better airflow.
Seperon 2800+ (1.6ghz skt754)
1Gb DDR 400
ECS 761GX-M754(3.0) mobo
Nvidia 9400GT (512Mb DDR2)
80Gb Seagate barracuda HDD

Awesome cable management there. Nice and clean look. I really like.
Even for old machines like those. Not a speck of dust.

I like my PC's to be spotless, and I cant stand messy cables.

No, those are some of the newer ones I have, I still have to post some more. I have P3's, P2's, a K6-2, Duron.......

Sweet. I have two 486's here (I think), though they don't look very good any more. They have been plundered for screws, jumpers, etc.
Edit: Oh, one of them is a Celeron 400MHz.

I have a few skt370 Celeron processors lying around(two 500Mhz, one 333Mhz, one 400Mhz). A 486, where do you find those? I really need one for the collection.
Here is one of my PIII systems;
Pentium III 750Mhz(skt370)
640Mb PC133 SDRAM
Aopen AX34 mobo
Gigabyte Nvidia FX5500
40Gb Maxtor fireball 3.

Why do you sand your cables? I can't see how that's a good idea.
I trust you don't do it while the machine is switched on?

That should have been stand, sanding cables really sounds like a bad idea

Stiggy... next time I go to my dad's place I will ask him if I can get that that 8086 and 486 DX 66 in his cupboard. Then you have two more for your collection. If I am lucky he might still have a 386 that I built up stacked away in the garage.

Thanks, that would be awesome
Here is my other P3, and my favourite PC in the collection
Pentium IIIEB 600Mhz(133Mhz fsb with socket 370 to slot 1 converter)
512Mb PC133 SDRAM
Gigabyte GA-BX2000 mobo
Gigabyte radeon 9250(128mb)
40Gb Seagate hdd
Creative sound blaster awe32

This is my old P4 which I got in 2006.....and then replaced(in 2009) with my current core 2 rig.
Pentium 4 511(2.8Ghz, 533Mhz fsb, 1Mb cache, socket 775)
2Gb DDR2 667(running at 533 as that is all the mobo will do)
Gigabyte GA-8VM800pmd-775 mobo
Nvidia 6800XT(256Mb DDR2)
80Gb Western Digital HDD(the original was an 80Gb Seagate which is in the Athlon 2500+ now, and the 250Gb that was in it is in my current PC as a backup drive)
This PC was extremely reliable and gave no hassles, but I still cant understand why they sold me a PC in 2006 with an AGP slot

They would do that, but it was Computer connection at comaro crossings.....I dont think they exist anymore though
I think you might recognise the motherboard in this next PC SB.
AMD K6-2 500Mhz
256Mb PC100 SDRAM(originally had 196Mb)
Gigabyte GA-5AA mobo(which I had to repair as 3 capacitors were blown)
ATI Rage 128 pro (32Mb, also know as a rage fury or something)
Creative sound Blaster 16(it originally had some or other fancy looking Zoltrix with gold plated ports)
HP 10/100 Ethernet card
20Gb Seagate model U6(when I first got it, it had a 4.3Gb western digital caviar)
That Mecer case is not the original one, I sort of threw the original one away after the mobo died but kept all the internal parts(the mecer one was found in a junk pile btw). This was my second PC which replaced my 200Mhz Pentium MMX but it died in 2005(it works now though) so I went without a PC until July 2006........but this K6 was rubbish mostly because of the mobo

Not mostly but completely because of the mobo. My brother also went 6 months without a PC when a capacitor on the board blew.
Seeing this picture it is hard to imagine how I could ever have lived with screwing everything in in those days. Man I love just popping something in an clicking it into place.

Prolly teh n00b buyer not checking (or not knowing the difference between AGP and PCI-E.

Actually at the time I did not really follow PC tech very closely, I knew more or less what was going on and that PCI-E was new and AGP was old. But up till then I had that ancient K6-2 and reading a PC mag was just plain depressing. Also my dad bought it so I did not have much choice in the matter......I would much rather have had an Athlon 64 as it was better for gaming and it probably would have had a PCI-E slot
//And this is also part of the reason why I will never buy a pre-built PC

So a cap also died on his as well, what a coincidence
if you look closely you will be able to see which caps I replaced. I cant imagine how we lived with all those stupid add on brackets that contained all the I/O stuff and I agree that all those screws are rather painful, thankfully thinks have changed

forgot about this thread. But here are another two systems:
AMD Duron 700Mhz
OEM KT133 based mobo(ignore the SIS 530 heatsink the original sort of fell off and would not stick on again)
256Mb PC133 SDRAM
Nvidia geforce 2 64mb(inno3D tornado MX400)
3com 10/100 network card
20Gb Maxtor fireball
Pentium 4 2.66ghz(skt 478)
Abit SG-71 mobo
1Gb DDR 333
40Gb Seagate barracuda
only on-board gfx as I don't have another AGP card for it
And an ancient Creative dvd drive, from 1998 apparently

Do you by any chance have a socket 478 board lying around?

That is the only one. I am currently looking for a better one that supports 800mhz fsb and HT as the 2.66ghz p4 is actually a 2.8ghz p4 hT but 2,66 is the best I can do on that board
Carbonate has some skt478 boards but last time I checked none suited my needs
