The boss, and his view on the world- mostly.

I tend to agree, but know that I shouldn't- it's just really difficult to find reason for me not to agree.

 The boss is being a typical boss and slave driving the poor man by telling him to not focus on the social life. :P
/just teasing Star :).

I used to be like you cynics out there but I have done a 180 and now I cannot imagine my life without females. It would be far to boring...

/BTW This has nothing to do with the school, unless one of you lot want to start up your own here and be the headmaster? ;)

I can imagine my life WITH females - complicated, stressful, depressing and unproductive.

Pass.

Ronny your life would be fun, interesting and thrilling - at least until the magic wears off. Then it will be safe and comfortable, and predictable

So having a woman is gay? As is wanting one? Perhaps you are right. A person should wasnt more than one

No, not wanting one is gay.

Edit: Let me explain, I don't want to be in a relationship myself. But it does not mean I don't want women in my life, there's other things to do besides getting into a emotional relationship.

Emotions are bad. We can do without them

Now pleasure has nothing to do with emotion

Why do I see the term "gay" being used in a pejorative sense, hmmmm?

I don't think think that what my boss said to me reflects his world view. He is married and was apparently popular with the ladies before that. He knows me fairly well and took this into account when addressing the question I put to him.

On a level I still hope you find someone you feel comfortable with

I have to disagree. You can not separate emotion from pleasure. Pleasure is a tertiary emotion stemming from joy -> contentment -> pleasure.

There are multiple research papers which points to the fact that pleasure is an emotional response to external physical stimuli. There is actually a rather accurate list on Wiki with a comprehensive list of emotions...

There is a saying... tis better to have love and lost than to never have loved... or something like that.
Pleasure is good. and pleasurable.

Love causes pain. Sometimes the pain is pleasurable... sometimes its grief, sometimes its yellow field daisies and honni... sometimes its depression and such ache that dying feels like a good choice. But all of us know that nothing that is worth having is not worth spending such an array of emotions over. What makes you really feel alive...? To have a "safe" non-feeling, non-involved existence where you only live in the fantasy life of books, movies or games but never really allowing yourself to feel for yourself?

I can only say that being in a relationship of any kind is hard work, and it will fulfill your life. Its your choice.

I agree with jee but disagree with RRF. Touch my back and I feel extreme pleasure, it has nothing to do with who is touching me, it is just a response to the touching and location

Ai.... I'm not even going to try to convince you on this one. All I am saying is that pleasure is a emotional response induced by an external stimuli.

Perhaps we are talking about different types of pleasure
