PC Cases

So setting up a new rig... thing is my contact for hardware is currently unable to get the case I want due to supplier issues.

Any suggestions regarding a case would be appreciated. I don't want something that looks like it came from a space station though and I don't care much for side windows. Elegance = style. If I can get something in the lines of the Lian-Li case I was looking at it would be brilliant PC-A77F

Well I'm partial to the CM 690- I have one in my wishlist at Sybaritic, albeit not the exact same one in your link.
Cooler Master RC-690 CM 690 Tower Chassis - No PSU

Love the design of the CM 690. Will go for it as it is a good recommendation but it does not have USB3. Question then would be if USB3 on the front panel is needed.

Is there a physical difference in the front panel/plug design of USB3 as opposed to USB2?

The pins for the plug that connects to the Mobo is different afaik.

I do like this case, i'm sure you could do this, and i especially like the practicality of this case, especially with the handle, if you into Lanning, you'll understand, that's why i love my case :)

Got an issue getting hold of someone with CoolerMaster cases in stock. Most of them says 3-4 weeks for delivery at the moment.

The CM Cosmos Black is my dream case. See that 2.5" slot at the top? I am sure you can get a card reader/USB3 combo thingy for that?

Ok so after much deliberation I have placed an order for
http://www.coolermaster.com/product.php?product_id=5363

Going with that I'm getting a H60 Hydro cooler for my i7-2700K and 8GB of Corsair Vengence RAM and a 850W PSU to give it some sauce. :P

I'm thinking about getting a decent cooler for my GPU when I eventually chuck my GTX280. Currently it is still doing its job just fine.

Good choice (HAF 932)! By all accounts a great case.

I'm happy with my HAF932.

True but the people I buy from finds it rather difficult to get Antech cases. And seeing as I am paying a measly R600 for 8GB of ram you can imagine what the rest of the quote looks like.

The HAF932 is an amazing case, and I doubt you would even need an aftermarket GPU cooler. The only issues some people have with them is their size, it looks like a bar fridge. My NZXT Phantom is also huge and some guys don't like it for that reason. I got no problem whatsoever
