There have been a few train and zoo sims as well.
sim city... I wouldn't give a 6 year old the sims...
Sam and Max
Age of Empires
Lego and Meccano.

I got a pair of screw drivers, a hammer and a pair of pliers when I was 6

Zoo tycoon but 6 is a bit young.
Sam and Max, although hilarious, is not suitable for a 6 year old
All the new lego games (including racer and island and batman etc)

when I was 6 I was playing DOOM and Quake 2

Dude when I was 6 we had those horrid yellow screens... and nothing that read above an 8086.

I was 6 in 1987...
The moral of my story is beat your kids.

True dat. But we replaced the horrid amber screen with a less horrid green one.
