Mobile Web Design Resources

I'm looking for good tutorials, books or educational resources for mobile web design. I want the real basic stuff up the extremely advanced super 1337 keyboard ninja stuff.
Anybody that can help me out? Looking to do something similar to PHP (if it's not possible to use php, which I think it is, since PHP outputs HTML...)
I know a lot of mobile browsers can browse full blown websites, but, I want to trim down a website, and have a mobile user land on that page first if they use a mobile browser. If they want the fullblown one, I'll obviously provide a link.
