Ugh, Who Else is Up and About This Time on a Saturday Mornin

Post by GDI_Lord »

After trying to fall asleep for hours last night, and then waking up and ten to six this morning, who else is around now? Meds kept me awake until I-dont-know-what o'clock last night. Was sick this week, yuk.

In other news, my gran passed away on the 8th of June, and then life in general just became too busy, so PCF, erm, sorry, G3ar, dropped off the todo list for a bit.

It took me forever to type that post in my current state :-) *yawn* Oh, also, it's nice that I'm noticing the difference in the size of my upper legs, gym and weighs loss FTW!

Sounds hectic. Hope you're feeling better now.

At least it's (kinda)a long weekend?

A surprising amount of modern pseudoscience is coming out of the environmental sector. Perhaps it should not be so surprising given that environmentalism is political rather than scientific.

What work do you do? From you nick I would hope that it's something involving the sea... :-)

Today I plan to be learning about MDX queries in SQL Server and "Developing Service-Orientated AJAX Applications on the Microsoft Platform" Well, more the service- orientated part, not the AJAX part.

Hehe, not quite doo; I have to work on Monday. Missed work from Tues afternoon, went back on Friday for most of the day. But it's cool, I really like my work.

And to think that on Thurs I felt like tossing my geek towel in the ring. Moral of the story: Try to avoid making big decisions when sick, on medication, depressed or majorly stressed. (I was only sick and on meds.)

i have taken some "leave" from the innerwebs and my laptop - and have been hiding in paper :)
Its been kinda nice not to be online at 5 in the morning but rather lie in bed with coffee and Kia drooling for my rusk ;)

Sorry to hear about your Gran, GDI. May her spirit rest in peace and her joy fill her family.
"Integrity" and "integer" both contain a Latin root meaning "whole; complete." The root sense, then, is that people may be said to be acting with integrity when their beliefs, words, and actions have a sense of unity or wholeness.

Yes - sorry to hear bout her.

Yes - old tech seems to be failing me. Now I need to find somewhere to get some boot files. Hubby is sleeping but I am sure he has one somewhere

Now that idea I can live with. As long as someone moves the PC to my room and brings me coffee and other liquid refreshments at regular intervals.

And pizza.

And maybe some ...

Naaaahhhhh.....

Thanks, I like it too!! I could still be in bed, if my dad and my uncle where better with PC's, I wouldn't have to spend time at their factory fixing stuff they manage to destroy...I really don't know how they do it!!!

I'm now sitting on a bench in the warm sun outside the hairdresser. Mmmmm...

Can't believe I felt so awful on Thursday. I really wanted to just toss the whole programming thing, merely demote it to a job, not something that a person does almost 24/7, not install VS or any programming tools whatsoever on my machine because I simply haven't been getting time at home to learn anything on the computer. (I replaced the primary HDD last week Friday but still haven't finished installing stuff. Case in point I suppose.) I've installed the drivers for my cellphone modem and Firefox, but that's about it. I still have to install Squid, Office, SQL Server, Gimp, games, VM software.

Meh. Even if I do get time today, maybe I'll get to in when I get to it.

But hey, at least now I'm lekker warm in the Winter sun! :-) Apparently the Winter European sun can't actually warm one up... I love South Africa :-)

Thanks for the hug girl. :-)
