One of our senior managers has given me a brainstorming document from a recent strategy meeting where managers were divided into groups and given topics to discuss. Her group dealt with issues surrounding a possible move next year. She thought I might be able to add points that her team may have overlooked.
If you were relocating your IT service company to a building in another area, or were going to build from scratch, what factors would you take into account? What should be avoided? What works best in terms of office layout? What facilities are common at (small) modern IT companies?
I have a few ideas, but am doubtful of their validity.

Also plan to spend some time checking conditioning on the final circuits, (it's not uncommon for someone to wire a few plugs the wrong way round producing intermittent trips).
3) Cabling/Trunking/Channels/Drops - this requires a seating plan to get right...
4) Whiskey. Barrels of.
5) Video conferencing facility? This will require some thought as to location, lighting, layout, etc...
