Apple do good?
Last week a patent holding company called Lodsys starting sending letters to iOS developers alleging that that they were, by using Apple’s developer APIs, infringing on a patent that Lodsys holds. Apple has now stepped in by contacting Lodsys and insisting that the patent in question is covered for third-party developer use under the terms of Apple’s license agreement. Apple has also asked that Lodsys stop contacting its iDevelopers regarding patent infringement. Lodsys only holds the patent in question, they have not developed technology based on it
