I am being serious, worked for them for 3 months before I found a better job up Botha's Hill way. They breached labour laws left, right and center if I had known what I know now, could have sued them to hell and gone...

You live in Alberton, last years news is news to you . Its a dark piece of my employment history, it does not go on my C.V. either because I am ashamed of working for them...

Re: Anyone from durban?
Yep. When I was employed there I was paid +-R3500 a month, working hours were from 6am to whenever stock count finished so in your really busy days that could be at 11pm and you did not get overtime pay. Your working schedule was 1 full week Monday to Sunday with the next week being Monday to Saturday. You only ever got 2 days in the month off. If you bring in a R40000 sale (which I did) you do not get a cut of the sale. The only positive is the store discount you get and that was 10 or 20%. Trust me you do not want to work for them...

Yeah that was back in 2004. They wanted me to serve a full calendar month before leaving but because I did not sign a contract I told them to shove it.Brad2.0 wrote:Didnt know that ppl who worked there were also made miserable , thats the reason they are never helpful. Thank God you got a new job.
