Blizzard announces Diablo III beta

So close...
Blizzard has finally announced an external beta for upcoming title Diablo III. Set for the third quarter of 2011, with internal testing having begun last week, the ball is in motion for the anticipated Diablo sequel

So, if testing is in the 3rd quarter is it safe to hope and assume we can be playing it before Christmas?
As always we will not compromise the quality of the game in order to hit a window

BWAHAHAHAHAHA...
I don't know. My opinion is more sales. I would imagine every other game manufacturer watches Blizzards release dates very closely and makes sure they don't release at the same time.
