Hi guys,

Here's a request, how about a feature on building your own media centre / HTPC from the bits we all have laying around from that recent upgrade?

You could include recommended cases, remotes etc and include the software required on the cover disc (even better if you can make it free like a Linux distro running MythTV or something)?

Just a request

I know in one PCF edition they had a HTPC setup guide. From the case to the software and peripherals. Price came to a tad over R19 000 AFAICR. Just use that and your old parts?

I think that was a file server guide last year using some other Linux distro. They have yet to do a HTPC guide, if they did it was more than 2 years ago

No. It was last year. I'm 100% positive. I'll go check tonight what edition it was.
I still read it on the bog the other day. Installing Windows media center and getting it to record to a specific drive ect ect.
