Well that Fail will be a Win when someone (with a bigger Fail) buys it from him for that price...

Fail to the guy who sat next to me on the plane and talked non stop when all I wanted to do was listen to music and/or sleep. Must admit to having a better understanding of Matlab and antennae on military aircraft though - that bit was interesting.

Nope - that is not where he put his mark.

But seriously - who talks to a female about antennas and maths programming languages? Do I really look that much like a Geek? On second thoughts mousey - don't answer that.

Ah SAA gets a fail for assuming Vegetarians like hot Asian stew as a snack. I would much rather have had a packet of nuts. My tongue burnt for the rest of the flight.

I feel the need to nominate Kalahari.net for a fail.

Our secretary ordered herself a netbook. It seemed very well priced when she asked me, so I told her to go ahead. Shortly after she finalised the order, she received an email from Kalahari telling her that the machine wasd in fact wrongly priced on their website. It was actually a lower model that should have been priced at what she paid. Nevertheless, Kalahari promised to honour her purchase and send her the bigger model.

Anyway, they emailed her to tell her this and told her to "send back" the one she had received. Thing is, it was part of a bigger order, which included an international item or two, so she hadn't received the thing yet. I replied on her behalf and asked them to please arrange to swap out the laptop before sending it since they still had it.

The order was placed about six weeks ago. The international order took that long to get here. Kalahari delivered today and guess what? Yep, they sent the wrong laptop. They had six weeks to sort the thing out and still got it wrong.

A win for Samsung SA and 123CRT.

My previous desktop LCD was making teh funnies- taking 30min or so to switch on after the pc had booted to the desktop. SO while I got a new one, the old one was sent for repairs under warranty.

So 123CRT did the repairs and all is well in again. Then on Thursday I got a call from Samsung asking for feedback about the repair and if I was happy with the repair. As I had not tested the monitor I asked them to call me again today after I had the screen at a LAN this weekend. So they did call back, I'm very happy with the whole process

So far Samsung is the only company who has actually called me back after I asked them to. Haven't had this level of service from anyone else in a long while.

PS: Standard Bank should take a page out their customer service book. :violent1:

Ja, 123CRT are great. Had an LG TV repaired there the other day and it came back good as new. Sadly, it was already out of warranty. I have, however, had a Samsung LCD fixed there in the past, and they did it under warranty even though I had no invoice. Because it was still within three years of manufacture according to the sticker on the back, they repaired it with no hassle at all.

Syko... that goes for every single bank in SA. None of them are customer centered.
