Geek Chic

Post by KillerByte »

Hi guys

So in an effort to keep up with fashion and the latest trend of Geek Chic (heaven forbid I actually even know what that phrase even means) I have decided to get some new frames for my spectacles. I have come up with 6 options and I would like some input.

Oakley Tumbler

Oakley Muffler

Oakley Metal Plate

Oakley Plank

Oakley Rough House (Black)

If I could get any frame, I'd get these (in either silver or black... That is a tough decision for me):

Plank, or Muffler. Both of those are DEAD sexy.

Side note: There's a frame that I've been lusting after for a seriously long time. They're wood, and handcrafted. Look at this:

I blame Nab for starting me on this path. He bought RayBan Wayfairers (not sure on spelling) and they look so cool.

I've got a Polaroid frame, can't remember the name of it, but it looks very much like the Oakley Whisker.

Edit: I'm thinking of getting contact lenses, I've got a very skin/sweat is very acidic and it messes up metal frames in less than a year.

Contacts become impractical when you sit in from of a computer screen for 8 to 12 hours a day. Combine this with the aircon and fluorescent lights and my eyes end up drying out so I have to peel the contact off my eye at the end of the day. I wear my contacts on the weekends.
