Hi.

A mate of mine has just asked me for help connecting his ps3 to the internet using his blackberry curve 8520.
He has no pc or laptop so does any1 know of a way to do this without tethering but only using wifi? I'm not even sure if this is possible but I wanted to ask you good folk for help before I tel him that it can't be done. I have had no luck finding a solution so far.

I dont think that ps3 can do internet if it doesnt use either iets own wifi or ethernet port. The system is very plug n play friendly but I dont think its up to the point of using usb modems or cellphone internet.

Perhaps see if his blackberry can act as a wireless access point? Then connect the PS3 to that access point.

If the ps3 was not able to connect to the internet, I guess your Blackberry can't support the setting of the access. Try to search the net and look for some related situations. I think wi-fi is also another good option.

I have the same phone, I have tried to set it up as mentioned in the first post but not really sure how to yet. Watch this space...
