I thought he was making a general comment about wilderness as in he likes being in the wild. Never knew there was a actual place called wilderness.
/adds that to the Google list...

It's around 15 minutes from George - just follow the N2 down a very interesting stretch of road (Kaaiman's Pass).
Wilderness is probably the best place to go hold a holiday along our coast lines. It is just sooo beautiful around there. Suits my idea of a holiday perfectly.
Also having been out of the country a couple of times I can say you don't miss much. You can have a very very nice honeymoon right here in SA if you know where to go. SA has something for everyone and still you don't have to break the bank.
wilderness and that whole area along the coast is cool and something different to KZN.....
Namibia is also cool.... some beautiful places there.... i believe the Okavango Delta is something magnificent.....
/that road to Wilderness just has too many twists and turns for my liking.......

We paid a lump sum (REALLY not that expensive) and everything was included. The only time I opened my wallet was for gifts for the peeps at home.
Is it better to take cash from SA than to withdraw it from an ATM over there?
Rather pay your spending money into your credit card and then draw as you need.
If you do a forex there at the hotel (at most hotels you can exchange your money for rupees) and you get back to SA with say eg 3000 rupees, then you won't be able to exchange it for rands again. The exchange rate between us and Mauritius is to weak.
And when you are on that all inclusive package, you don't have to spend money on anything in the hotel! Everything is included. Three buffet meals per day, snacks at the bars, water sports ect. The only thing you have to pay for is for things like moment-o's and other activities not catered by the hotel. Underwater walks, para-sailing ect.
