2010 Matric results
67% pass rate? All I can say is PATHETIC!
How can you expect a country to move forward when a 3rd of the nation is considered stupid? And thats just the few that made it to matric. Not sure if the figures I heard were correct but 1.5 million started school, 500k made it to matric, and 350k or so passed? 1.15 million people (75% of 1.5million) that arent fit to do more minimum wage labour.
Pathetic. Really, really pathetic.

That is not a problem since there isn't a minimum wage in SAStarBound wrote:1.15 million people (75% of 1.5million) that arent fit to do more minimum wage labour.

Tough luck if your domestic was one of the 350K who matriculated and knows her rights

If you are clever you would have fired him/her just before the exams and gotten two others instead...

Yeah and everywhere they go on about the matrics that passed the IEB exams. Who gives a crap.
You final matric result is what matters and with what, a 30% pass mark, how the friggin hell can they fail?
Nah, I could go write those exams today without studying and pass.
Stupid people living in this country and world. Stupid stupid.

Re: 2010 Matric results
The horrible fact is that there is a bigger requirement for manual labourers than there is for IT geniusses. So some of these guys that failed matric are more employable than most of you are? Minimum wage is better than nothing?

A surprising amount of modern pseudoscience is coming out of the environmental sector. Perhaps it should not be so surprising given that environmentalism is political rather than scientific.

Re: 2010 Matric results
Because it's a much higher standard and 98% of those pupils passed. I'd much rather employ one of them than someone who passed matric with a normal NSC.IcePick88 wrote:Yeah and everywhere they go on about the matrics that passed the IEB exams. Who gives a crap.

Wow. A graph of failure. No wonder they are so happy about the 67%.

Look at it this way... you need 1 IT Specialist per say 20 offices but you need a 5 man cleaning crew and 2 tea ladies for the same amount of officesRiaX wrote:cheap labour will always be in more demand than any qualified scopedoo_much wrote:The horrible fact is that there is a bigger requirement for manual labourers than there is for IT geniusses. Re: 2010 Matric results
I guess if you dont want to become more than a packer or a picker then you dont need matric. But the thing is you wont be contributing to advancing. You will make out the part of the dirt diggers and raw resource gathering. Then again Malema is one of the richest people in SA so I might be wrong. Did he pass barely or did he fail?

Re: 2010 Matric results
thing about the graph is that the pass rate got higher but the standards got lower. im sure if you took a constant pass mark say 50% that graph would be the other way around
Re: 2010 Matric results
one of my buddies who owns a retail store had one of those retards who passed this year come into his store wanting a job - so he asked the guy if he sold someone an item for R20 and then a second item for R18 and the purchaser hands over R50 then how much change is the purchaser due - this person who apparently just passed says "i cant answer that cos we didnt study that in school"
im speechless ..... as was my buddy - needless to say that this guy was quickly shown the exit door - yeah ...... im pretty sure you need an A in matric maths to decide that 1+1=2 or maybe they dont teach you that in school anymore and you need to go to university to study that ROFL

Re: 2010 Matric results
Yeah it is ridiculous, the worst part of it all is that you can re-wright school exams wtf is that. And the standard of the schools keep dropping thus causing a huge problem at the Universities where the standard stays the same although it has to be slightly lowered or they just pass people automatically. Spoke to an accounting lecturer at Wits and the Dean told him 60% of the students must pass, so he resigned.
I am a guy so please people stop sending me these shady pm's and start playing computer games or bodybuilding. Forums aren't a good place to get chicks the gym is...
