as a subscriber to the magazine, it is said that one gets an automatic entry into each and every competiton, now my question is, how does one know if you have been entered?

did a tall, swedish, swimwear model knock on your door, plant a passionate kiss on your chops and inform you of this?... if not, then you haven't...

I believe you have been tricked by marketing gimmick

Competitions are my department. If you do not get a response from the system do not worry. It means that I have not told the system to send out a message (my apologies - now and again I miss a competition or two) however your entry is not lost. These SMSes are still received and are still included in the competition entries. We use a company that provides an excellent system that ensures that the competitions can be audited.

Tl; dr - If you don't get a reply to your SMS don't worry, your entry is still included in the competitions random selection.
