Shared calender in Outlook

Hi Folks
missing something somewhere because I can't seem to get this one right.
After a few office battles about who has the right to use the boardroom, I want to create an additional calender that opens up in each staff members outlook. The staff members will be able to create a new meeting, edit their own existing meeting and view all meetings, but now delete other staff members meetings. Would also be great if conflicting meeting are not allowed so that whoever puts the meeting in first would have that spot unless they delete it later.

It would be easier if I did not have to get each member to open the calender manually, so if there is some way to enforce the opening from SBS 2003, that would be helpful.

Thanks guys!

Not sure if you can do that from 2003 - but will check. Definitely possible in 2010.

Thanks! Most machine are 2007. only one 2003, and 3 are 2010. Can update the 2003 to 2010 if needs be.

Are you running AD?

Then create and account called "boardroom", give it a mailbox on exchange and share it's calendar with the people. That's how we did it and it worked like a charm.

That would also work. But not sure about preventing adjacent appointments though

Thats the first part, then on exchange flag the account as a resource, so you select the venue as a resource. You will have to create an account like that from each meeting room. Once a resource is booked, it cannot be booked again for the same date/time.
