Just a heads up on the glue situation. The investigation done by our media authors into the 'glue on the disc' issue that has ruined a good few Dec DVDs has been completed. It turns out the that cause of the problem was apparently too much glue

Either way, it really wasn't fair to our readers and I can't tell you how sorry we are. To make amends we will gladly replace any faulty discs and will also be bagging January's mag with the December and January discs.

If you would like to have your disc replaced immediately please send myself or Brett a mail; nicholas at pcformat dot co dot za or brett at pcformat dot co dot za - take note however that you will be required to send us the faulty one before we can replace it.

Again, my sincerest apologies and I can assure you we are investigating alternatives to the cardboard sleeve.

Plastic cases.... cheap ones.

Fire the problem with plastic is that they might break in handling and therefore cause scratches as well. At least thats the problem I foresee.

My mag had no glue whatsoever and was very pleased to see the Civ 5 demo .

If the plastic is brittle - they will be broken and thus a wasted expense.

You do get the plastic casings that are flexible and inexpensive.

Fire, do you want the price to go up again, R45 is already making it difficult for me to buy it every month.

The cardboard bags with plastic wrap over it worked really well. It was like that in around 2002.

Nice of you guys to include the Desember disc with the January magazine...
