nice case Slimshaedy, is your machine noisy?

No its pretty quiet, but late at night when there's no ambient sound then I obviously hear my fans, so I turn them all down to their lowest setting on the fan controller. And then its pretty much silent

Thanx:). I just need a 6870 in there and ill be finished with my rig. I plan on modding the case sometime, where the big 230mm fan goes on the side panel, I want to cut that mesh out and put in a perspex window, and get LED lighting inside, or ccfl, and cable sleeving:)

Very nice looking case you got there Slim. How is the airflow and temps inside?

Airflow is pretty hectic, my cpu idles between 28 and 30, at 100% load at 4.6Ghz it gets to 68. Just have a bit of work to do with my fans because the 2 200mms are both extracting. I wana switch 1 to intake, and the other extract. And then I want to move my hdds in line wih the 2 120mm

That's beautiful! With a second 6870 in there you'll be in the pound seats!

I think it is about time I did this. My rig is nothing special, but I love it.

So just for interest sake here it is:

Hey slim, i did exactly what you have said there, i lined up my drives in front of the one 200mm fan in the front, taking air in, and i have another 200mm fan at the top of the case, extracting all the air.

Wow andrekruger haven't heard from you in a while. My 200mm are on top so I want the one to take air in,the cooler suck its in,exhausts hot air air out the back, and then the other 200mm removes it. But I've been thinking, its better to keep air flow in one direction so the way I have it now is good but I'm planning on adding a fan onto the bottom of the case, I'm not sure how but I'll figure it out:)

^^ yea, I find it better if you have the air travelling in one direction. Rather than have it swirling around in your case because of side mounted fans interfering with the air form the ones in front of the case.

Yeah, sorry bout that Shaedy, been a bit busy with studies and work, but i carry on beind the scenes...

my thinking is rather to vent all the hot air rather than introduce colder air, which in this case seems to be sorting itself out, as they hot air is extracted by my 200mm fan at the top, as hot air rises anyways, it creates, or it appears to me at least, to create a vacuum of some sort which pulls in coooler air by itself (other than the 200mm fan in front)

so as far as i can see (based on the areas on where dust settles, which means it is outside of the influence of the moving air inside the case), it would seem that the airflow is quite laminar and not swirling anywhere, and is following a straight line and and then out of the box, as you said Shaedy, it is going in one direction.

based on temperature measurements over the last few months (before and during winter) it does seem to be keeping the insides nice and cool.

Very nice! Now you just need an aftermarket cooler! And work a bit on your cable management and it'll go from looking good to looking amazing:)

Coolermaster V6GT is good, Notctua NH-D14 and Zalman CNPS 10X or 11X. But also take into consideration the size of your case, because big coolers like these sometimes dont always fit inside the case. You got the K version cpu so i take it you want to overclock?

nope, not into over clocking, just gaming and rendering

O ok I see. Well the K version cpu wasn't really needed;) but at least you're still able to OC some time in the future

Whats your temps slim when running your pc at full load while it's over clocked.

I was messing around with the AI auto tuning. It set the clock to 4.3ghz and I run it at full load and my temp quickly reached 82degrees. I'm using stock cooler btw.

I finally got my cooler!

Cooler Master V8!

At stock speed: Idle = 25, Load = 46
Over clocked to 4.4: full load is 58

and the best part is that it's super silent :)

I'd definitely recommend this product!
