Hi guys, it has become that time of the year for me to upgrade - and I am giving away my current GPU.

What's the catch ? - I am just waiting for my new card to be delivered, which should be in this week still.
So if you know of anyone who needs a slight upgrade post here !

I am in no way affiliated to PCFormat - so don't call them for the gift either

My brother is running a 7600GT and he's reached the point where he needs to upgrade.

Do I win?

I have a wife and three children who have to play snakes and ladders by candlelight every night. You will be restoring their dignity by letting them have this gpu. //on a more serious note, I have a cousin who's xbox was stolen last week. He has a pc but no gpu. He would be overjoyed.

I should've mentioned it's my brother's b-day tomorrow.

Although, the Departed's cousin is a good candidate...

I'm only competing with you because with a 7600GT, your brother doesn't sound like a very hardcore gamer. Otherwise, my cousin will survive, he has some cash saved up he was actually saving up so he could go to college, but I guess that dream is dead now. He has also started listening to rap music.

Admittedly, he's not 'hardcore' per say, but with all his money going towards trying to feed himself at university (he stays on-campus), he hasn't got any money to spare on luxuries like GFX cards (I mean, he still has a CRT for crying out loud )

Can we have a fight to the death? I'll sell tickets. Golden circle is R300. Anthro gets half the profit.

But the competitors should buff up before the match, I don't wanna see the fight end in 1 round.

My sister has to play Sims 3 with onboard graphics which is really frustrating for her, the sims walk very slowly and it takes hours to build a home. Yesterday was her birthday she is 14. If you donate the card to her I will install it using medical anti static gloves and proper equipment to earth everything during installation to ensure that premium care is taken of the card.

He's playing StarCraft 2 on minimum graphics, and he becomes all depressed every time he sees how pretty the game is on my PC.

a 9500GT will allow at least some of the shinies turned on.

I was in Zimbabwe recently, and the kids at the one school have a Cloud-based computing system, where all of the video for the 5 computers is rendered by a Riva TNT2 with 32MB of RAM. They have a new motherboard and so forth, but no Video card.

A donation to them would mean the ability to view Windows XP with Icon shadows and Solitaire in full, 32-bit colour glory.

LOL, by hardcore I don't mean "wants latest gpu", I mean "plays many games".

Where in the country are you? I have an 8500GT lying around doing nothing. Your sister is welcome to it.

Question: does the card have an HDMI port? Looking to build a media centre machine, and this card may just do the job if it has such port on it. (The photo indicates that it does, but I can't tell for sure.)

Then again, I don't mind someone more deserving (EDIT: or someone who got in line first) getting it.

My HTPC is running on a 7300GT. Outputting 1080p just fine.
