Not bad at all, I do prefer the Intel logo to the Nvidia one though...but good job...

nice. I did engraving on plexi a while back too, drew on paper, the used insulation tape to mask, as then some sanding paper and a carpet knife(for the edges), came out pretty nice.
use ultrabright leds at the side, and your logo will light up nicely.

What tool did you use for the engraving?

I used something like a dremmel, but I don't have the shaft extention, otherwize it might have looked smoother perhaps. I need to get a real dremmel with the extention. What's done is done..

Looks cool but needs LEDs or something to make it pop.

Also, maybe next time use a stencil or something for the text - your 2 is skew.

I like it though :)

I actually used carbon paper to trace it. But like I say, this is my first engraving project, with more practice it will get better.

yea look I wasn't meaning to insult or anything, I do like it.

It was meant merely as a suggestion for next time :)

Was at a car shop where they restore old models, among other things they do to cars.
They have a sand blasting machine there used to strip paint from bodywork in 10% of the time ti takes to do by hand. You can also change the grain of sand in the machine for smoother finishes.
Maybe rock up there with your plexi and masks!! :P

you get a certain type of vinyl used for sandbalsting, its fairly thick and grey, if you go to a signage place they can use a plotter to cut the designs for you, just be sure to give it in vector format.(most use coreldraw *puke* )
then you can sandblast
you also get vinyl that looks like sandblasting which you can just stick on, a lot easier than engraving, but doubt it will give you nice lighting effects(the sandblasting will however)
you can also engrave and cut perspex with a laser plotter, there are fablabs in south africa that are open for the public for free use, just do some research, there might be one in your area. the one in bloem's lasercutter is broken though, and tehy're taking forever to get it fixed(makes me very emo)
