Men are not so shallow....and geeks make good lovers

Post by jee »

They take only milliseconds to choose potential partners – but it is because of an ‘ancient’ feeling rather than a shallow attitude.

A pretty face is a sign of fertility and a survival instinct means males are more attracted to women who can carry on their line, researchers say.

By contrast, females take longer to decide and base their decision on the man’s personality and whether he will be a good provider, the study shows.

hmmm small study...
"Integrity" and "integer" both contain a Latin root meaning "whole; complete." The root sense, then, is that people may be said to be acting with integrity when their beliefs, words, and actions have a sense of unity or wholeness.

Wrong.

Men are that shallow...

A surprising amount of modern pseudoscience is coming out of the environmental sector. Perhaps it should not be so surprising given that environmentalism is political rather than scientific.

Read up on this a bit more from other sources and you will see that men are wired that way. It's not a "feeling" nor a indication of being shallow.

Women are like that as well.

Go sit at a coffee shop in the mall and observe people. All the good looking guys and girls are together. If you see a really good looking girl with a fat bald man, he's got $$$. It's sad but true.

*sigh* there is a world of difference between shallow and simple... men are simple... we're wired that way... woman have the facility to be shallow/deep because they're clinically insane :P

This is true for silly teenage boys and girls. It's so cool to have the hottest boy- girlfriend. Oh look at me!

But when you grow up you start to realise there is something more other than the exterior.

Oh, btw, ANY man would still want a HOT wife. But if you really love someone, then that don't matter.

very true...

something i've noticed is that hot women rely too much on their looks anyway, and relationships based on vanity doesn't last, sex is good(sometimes) it's an ego booster, but in the end its empty.

Then your lady has grown up and can appreciate more of a person than just their beauty.

Oh, and I'm no Brad Pitt either (or is it Edward Cullen or Baby Bieber these days?)

To add on whats been said.

Do you not find that people become more and more attractive as you find traits you like.

for instance.. you have a moderately attractive girl. You start learning things like she loves the same music, hobbies or dreams... that girl instantly like gets shot up the HOT scale by a good couple of notches?

Yup.

And ever heard that song: "If you wanna be happy for the rest of your life, never make a pretty women your wife"....

It is true. You will forever be fending off men and weak insecure women might give into the temptations when showered with all the "hits" and compliments.

Take it from me.

We men do have our issues, but to keep us happy is VERY easy. We are simple.

Women on the other had is a whole different kettle of fish. The "how to keep a women happy" list is almost never ending!

The best advice someone gave me is this: Love a women a lot but try to understand her as little as possible.
