if anyone is a mod or nows someone at the carbonite classified website, please ask them to send me my activation email.

it is now 3 days and i still cannot post.

"nows" is spelled "Knows" The K is silent ONLY when spoken. When written you need to use it.

I've had many problems on forums with activation emails. Firstly, check your spam / trash box. Secondly, register again with another name and email. Create a gmail or hotmail or yahoo or something. Their server was probably acting up at the time you registered.

I also never received my activation email when I registered. One of the admins eventually approved me.

checked for the email in trash etc, nothing.

Also created a new email on our work domain, still nothing

Also PM firestrm but nothing.

Its frustrating as there is some good kit on there going for nought.

The Carbonite forums will be down for the weekend anyway. In fact, it appears that all things Prophecy are down. Firestar made an announcement about it.

He just said that the forums will be down for this afternoon and the entire weekend and apologised for the inconvenience. No reason given.

I'm just assuming it's wider than Carbonite because I can't access either the Prophecy Shop or the Prophecy Forums now either. I rarely visit the Prophecy Forums, so I don't know if a similar announcement was made there.

Unfortunately we have been the target of hackers on our site, http://www.prophecy.co.za. We where able to detect the intrusion early, and no customer data has been compromised. This was not a targeted or malicious hack aimed at us as a company, but an attempt to use our server as a host.

As a precaution, we are taking the site offline in order to do a full security audit, and to investigate the exploit that was used and fix it.

Rest assured that we are on top of this, and will have it solved as soon as possible. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact us on 011 888 2858, or email us on orderupdates@prophecy.co.za.

Our email will be unnafected by this down time.

We are moving over to a new server, we anticipate the site some time on Monday, depending on how long the DNS takes to propogate. We will update here as soon as we have more information, thanks for your patience!
