yep the 5770's are very good in crossfire - jus bear in mind if your runnning them @ 8x / 8x speed or @ 8x / 4x speed cuz the latter would give you problems man - in that case go for a single card....

They could compete in some games and others not, all depends on how well the game scales across both cards...

Benefits of a single card:

1) Less power draw (usually) and less heat production (usually)
2) Leaves a PCI-E slot open for cheaper future upgrades
3) Less chance of micro stutter in games

Benefits of using a budget multi card system:

1) Possibly better performance for less or the same money
2) Um..


So, if your have two options; one a single card and the second a multi card system that gives the same performance for the same money, I'd go with the single card option every time.

well, seeing as i just recently assembled my new computer, and i shopped around for all the parts, here is a breakdown of what i bought, and what it cost me.

When it comes to graphics design, low budget pcs or even low budget gaming pcs I am at a loss. I need a big slice of humble pie to bring me down again or just look at what a ps3/xbox can do with less effort than my pc.

i found article you were talking about and it seems it only relates to the 550W "green' and 'energystar' psu's.

but thanks for the warning though, will keep an eye (or two) on it. :shock:
