Good riddance I say.
I worship the man. I think he is brilliant in every way......which is why I am the way I am

He is no journalist. More like an over-rated entertainer.

This would be so much cooler if Jeremy Clarkson had said it.
I suspect that part of the reason people hate him is because to him a car is not just a car. A Korean car no matter how good it is will always be rubbish to him just because it has no sole.......
And I agree, a car most certainly is not just a car
Jeremy Clarkson did an 11-minute interview with a South African radio station that has a name to match its geographic location. Clarkson discussed what it took to make the Top Gear segment that had them drivng around the Monaco GP circuit on a race weekend, the coming Ron Howard movie Rush about the 1976 F1 battle between Niki Lauda and James Hunt and Top Gear Festival 2012 "with an array of cars that has never been seen anywhere."
But what has caught everyone's attention – everyone except for the radio interviewer, that is – was Clarkson saying that the festival would be "about the only time" he, Hammond and May would work together in 2012 because "there's no Top Gear this year." There's video of the interview below, the bombshell at about 8:10. Since it's all a bit confusing, Mr. Clarkson himself has set the record straight via his personal Twitter account, confirming that Top Gear will return in January of 2013, though there will be a Christmas special some time before that.
The reason petrolheads will be missing out on their BBC fix? Simon Cowell, apparently. "Sunday nights will be full of fat people singing," said Clarkson. "Top Gear is a medium size van. Cowell is a juggernaut. When he has finished his singing competition, our new series will start."

i'm with Sojourn on this.. clarkson and his ilk are no different to the rubbish that is idols... different "fan" base, same premise... possibly worse given the creepy amount of affection displayed toward machinery...

You mean it is an entertainment show? You don't say!
His ego is so inflated, it squashes any semblance of intelligence to the league of a domestic turkey.
He might have a huge ego and not know a lot about the mechanics of cars, his opinions are sometimes weird and satirical, he might have a big mouth, etc. But that is what works on the show. That is why it does well. I am not too sure I would enjoy his company for any length of time in real life, but on the show, it works and I love it. And I love the other two as well. They are entertaining.

At least you can see it. Why does everything have to be serious, unbiased and boring. Clarkson makes it interesting, there are a great many boring and unbiased motoring shows out there but very few as entertaining and enjoyable as Top Gear.
meh, those of you who dislike Top Gear because it is entertaining(and not serious) need to lighten up a bit

nope. it's the gutter dwelling inbred cousin of entertainment...
Yes. It is entertainment to those it entertains.

Got all his stuff and all the Top Gear seasons. Even one or two of old Top Gear.

Top Gear USA is also the bomb, a rip-off maybe but at least 100,000 times better than the south african motoring shows. What's that show called on Ignition DSTV... Marius and 3 guys from the old-age home having conversation that borders on test match cricket conversation
