DirectX 11 and Tesselation - Feeling lucky?

Ive been following this engine since infancy, and its turned into an amazing piece of software. They claim to be the first middleware supplier to include full support of hardware tesselation.

edit. my previous statment was short sighted. If those videos represent true in-game image quality, then this engine is nothing short of flaberghasting... excuse my french... but holy c**p in a steeek that is seriously impressive...

And for the price, $25 000, its about 20 times cheaper than Unreal Engine 3, and do you get 20 times more features. Hell no.

I finally got to download this benchmark and run it. Im a little sad that I couldn't test the tesselation, but it looks great non the less.

Downloaded it after your first post, but didn't run the benchmark portion yet. It looks good with tessellation on but it chows performance on my card in normal mode. If I lower it to medium it runs fine and looks basically the same.

Yup, from the benchmarks I've seen so far the nVidia's completely spank ATI in tesselation. Maybe it'll be resolved in driver updates and optimisations down the line...

At 1280x1024 I seem to be CPU limited topping out at 78FPS. With moderate tessellation my min FPS drops quite heavily.

Mike, ignore rusty, he was hit with some devastating news earlier.

DirectX11 should be available from the Microsoft site. Check this link.

You do realize DX11 comes with Windows 7, and cannot be installed on Windows XP right?

Hi PCformatdid a review about DX11 in 2009 i think where it said that we will get 3 times more fps than with DX 10 if I remember correct!
but I get less fps than with DX 10. Did someone else read that article?
