Mr. Stig.... I am an Alpha owner and the only reason would willingly rebuild the thing is if I loved the car more than my Vivo... Which I do. In comparison my 1983 Giulietta is more of a pleasure to drive, with all of its problems, than my new 2010 Polo Vivo.

BTW did anyone actually notice that this thread is in the Skidmarks section of the forum..... I guess I created it there for a reason. We don't want to see you spending the money on a pc or on a gf... btw if I spend it on a car/pc I would inherintly spend it on a gf as she will have piece at mind... knowing I don't spend it at strip clubs or something else even more scaly.

No Toyota is not reliable, it kill's people because the accelerator gets stuck (if you read the news a few months back you would know this) and they are responsible for the worst car ever the PRIUS.

And every car manufacturer has had recall issues. Look at the Honda and spontaneous bursts of fire. Dude you are way to easily influenced by what you read and your own personal feelings...

Toyota is a pretty reliable car manufacturer. Personally, I don't like them, but I can't knock them for reliability.

I prefer Honda and mercedes they are both very reliable and much better cars.

(They are also much more expensive and I've heard the services are a ripoff and that the customer service is poor.)

Saw a lady in a fairly new Getz the other day. (Can't be older than a few months.)

She was holding everyone up because her engine kept stalling. And when my father owned a Hyundai Accent he had the same problem with the engine just stalling at random times. To me it proves Hyundai have the same problems now as they did years ago.

Don't buy Korean. Just don't. The Japanese build great cars, and affordable ones too.

But they are better than being in a car that is made by the people who make the prius, and sorry about the spelling mistake it's mercedes

Yes my friend has a Hyundai Tucson and after about 74 000km's the auto gear box just completely disintegrated and Korean cars are not cheap these days.

except for the 2010 models... slapped together by unskilled labour under duress...

also, it's apparently luck of the draw..

owned 3 toyotas, all 3 had issues...

now on my 3rd hyundai, zero hassles on any of them... and i tend to travel a fair bit...

this can't be blind luck..... :/
