Hi all

its been a while since i posted something.
well here is my problem. my friend has a HP notebook, and its display disappreas alot. i have loaded n frsh copy of win7, vista and XP. We will work on it for n few days and everything is fine, but then the next time you start up no disply. It goes through the startup everything, but after start up no display. i have checked all the drivers and they are updated. Only way i get it fixed is when i do a system restore.

does anyone know what the prob can be or a solution?

the notebook has been giving this problem for about 5 months now.

I don't know much about laptops, but could the BIOS maybe be giving problems? Maybe it switches to the auxiliary display port for some reason? Don't mind me if this is a stupid suggestion.

My Compaq notebook also does this sometimes... after it comes out of sleep/hibernation/holiday mode/ though it only does it sometimes and a fresh reboot fixes it.

Try using the shortcut keys for swapping the displays.

20 bucks says it is either the 6120 / 6310 / 6370.
Known issue. Thats a mobo replacement right there, GPU issue.
