Greetings,

So a certain female on another forum wants to have another KZN meet (I thought she would have been sick of me by now but hey... ) and her idea is for the new Toti mall called the Galleria (No idea on how it should be spelled) on either the 30th or 31st for a lunch then movie then games in the Arcade or ice-skating.

So what are the thoughts from this peanut gallery? Do we risk hamin in ice-skating or do we risk getting groped by the Goof in a movie?

My vote is for the 31st say 10am with hamin on ice.

/hamin is going to kill me tomorrow .

Just a heads up...

I stay in toti. And I've watched two movies at that Cinema. It looks like they project a movie that was recorded on a handy cam. My first experience was rattly sound, no treble and all bass. Also, unlike Ster Kinekor, you have to pay for different flavoured seasoning for your pop corn. Unless you're 100's with plain old salt.

Other than that, the ice skating rink is actually a plastic skating rink.

Saying that, I would be prepared to see Jamin skating. Even if I had to pay!

I will not due horse riding to save my life. Did it once and I did not enjoy it. Having said that whats this tree-top walking?

Plastic skating sounds alright. Neko mentioned bumper cars? We could go bumping each other .

Let me get this straight, you want a 1.8 meter, 114kg man with only rudimentary motor skills and no co-ordination (that's me) to put on shoes with little blades on their soles and then use them to glide around on a hard, cold surface like some kind of fairy...

Why not put wheelie shoes on a rhino and let it loose on a floor covered in castrol motor oil?

It will have the same effect.

Ok, have not heard bad stuff about the movies... Lethe377 from the Ron2k forum raved about the 3D movies.

i mentioned the mall having a wax skating rink, however i do not remember recommending it, for it is wax after all and is rather tiny, considering that just when you have enough momentum, you have to slow down because you at the other side.

There is a tenpin bowling area, and i read on their facebook page that they apparently have Flying Golfballs as well...

My original plan included movies at galleria then relocate to the Funland/Toti Mall area for After Movie Caffeine/Food (wide selection of eateries) and then Dodgems/Tenpin/Airhockey/whatever-catches-your-interest-in-a-gaming-arcade...

So you guys still interested?

I'm still in for the 31st.

But what movie will we watch? I've already seen everything interesting on circuit as of today, and I will not watch a chick flick or kiddies movie - unless someone else pays.

I can do the 30th, but not the 31st (family member's birthday).

Right added a poll. We shall go for the 30th then. The poll only has 2 options and in both a activity is last so we can burn lunch off. Also some people (you know who you are) will drink so activity when tipsy will be fun .

I vote for lunch first then movie then activity. If we go the second option movie, lunch and activity then the movie has to be a lunch time movie. I am night shift that week so if the movie is earlier then I will fall asleep...

I'm going with movie, lunch and then activity. Otherwise, knowing us, lunch will end up overrunning into the movie...

I can afford a plane ticket and a walk in the opposite direction.

Yes please, the 30th will work best... We really need to let others know... lethe knows about it, but there's one or two other members from toti that need to know... Movie then lunch then activity sounds a good plan... The panarotti's is quite good and the service is awesome... There is also Spur, and maybe the Mugg (although service there is crap-as per family members of mine)

30th it is then, what time should we investigate for a movie? And who sits next to hamin and rusty? I say lunchish just because I am night shift. Activity can be discussed at the Galleria.

Okay people I am day shift this week so we can plan for the movie to be in the morning say 10ish. What do you all say?

NP, no idea where lunch will be so you will have to phone me after the movie to find out where we are eating .
