Kyalami Trackday

Post by WiK1d »

I attended my first Kyalami Trackday on Saturday with SA Biking Academy and MAN! What a blast! Thought I'd share these two vids (2 sequential laps, but split if someone has to save on bandwidth) of me chasing down a CBR150 cup racer (Holy crap they are fast, and the oke is TINY!)

Watch it in HQ if possible!

I gotta say, the camera work is actually pretty cool ;) Feels like you're really there.

Very nice man, really looks like a ton of fun ;)

Very nice W1k, have only watched the first vid. I think the angle of view is slightly too low on your helmet. Would be nice to see a big more of the approaching corners etc.
But still incredibly clear and vibration free.
Will check the others out when i get back from work.

Hey yeah, didn't think that you dip your head forward in race-mode, so I set it up for normal riding, sadly.

Thanks man, and nooo, kph. I don't think any 125's except 125GP bikes can break 200kph :P

Dude, that is freaking AWESOME. Man, that looks like MAD fun. I feel like buying another bike after watching that.

I can't believe how much control you have over that bike. I mean, obviously the rider has control, but there are parts where you bring it back up, but only a few degrees, and it's like it locks into place at that angle and wont go anywhere unless you make it do so. Really good control dude :D
That guy that used to mod cases. Now I take photos. True story.

Thanks Ett!

Here's some helmet cam footy, much better than the Kyalami ones.

Here's one lap of the reverse cam:
