Which form of Governement do you subscribe to?
After reading the North Korean thread and Drakonis' politics thread I thought I'd start this one up.
What forms of Government do think are best?
Remember that Democracy is a form of political governance while capitalism is a form of economic governance.
Do you think capitalism is better than socialism?
Is Dictatorship better than democracy?
Are there any forms of governance that we do not know about?
Don't let your blood boil on this topic. It is meant to be informative not inflammatory.
Mods if this becomes unruly please lock at your discretion.

Shouldn't this really be a part of Drakonis' aforementioned thread?
Kia kaha, Kia māia, Kia manawanui.
Re: Which form of Governement do you subscribe to?
no, because drakonis and kb are still debating "is" versus "are"

I feel his thread is more about if we need politics. This thread is asking which political system do you think is best and why.
I understand the concern Ron, I hope I made a clear enough argument for this threads longevity.

Seems to be pretty much the same thing to me. For now however, I'll let this thread live.KillerByte wrote:I feel his thread is more about if we need politics. This thread is asking which political system do you think is best and why.

"Debate" being a word used to describe Drakonis hitting KB repeatedly with a 2x4
@Stuart: So that is what a loof looks like?

Well personally I would support any government that forces people to go to school to study spelling and grammar. Would you mind at least fixing the subject?KillerByte wrote:

A surprising amount of modern pseudoscience is coming out of the environmental sector. Perhaps it should not be so surprising given that environmentalism is political rather than scientific.

Re: Which form of Governement do you subscribe to?
I became confused when I heard the word 'service' used with these agencies.
South African Revenue 'Service'
Postal 'Service'
Telephone 'Service'
Municipal 'Service'
Civil 'Service'
South African Police 'Service'
Customer 'Service'
This is not what I thought 'service' meant.
But today, I overheard two farmers talking, and one of them said he had hired a bull to 'service' a few cows.
BAM!!! It all came into focus. Now I understand what all those agencies are doing to us.
You are now as enlightened as I am.

I wouldn't say no to a government whose members are not self-aggrandising,deceitful or petty but have the best interests of the people living in the area being governed at heart.
I am more interested in what this form government would do than in what it might be called.

Never thought about it really but I kinda lean toward socialism with democracy tied into it.

Is there a government that promotes sterilisation in exchange for arv's, that kicks its members out if they lie, cheat or steal, thats happy to earn a smaller salary so there is more money for other things?
right wing groups are generally gun toting religious fanatics... No thanks.

Well, it seems they are going to give the great firewall bill the old heave-ho... so now you just have to overcome your arachnophobia.
