intel mobo temperature

My mobo's bios hardware monitor says the mobo's temp. is 82 degrees. Is that right? Nothing is overclocked, and I've got a coolermaster 120mm fan at the front for blowing air in, and the same one at the back for sucking air out. The bios doesn't detect sustem fan 1 and 2, neither does speedfan. I did put a normal deskfan at the side with the side panel off yesterday, and in the bios the temp. seemed to drop. what else can I try for decent cooling exept WC?
Thanks in advance

what cpu cooler you have? stock? you sure it's seated properly? shouldn't be running anywhere near that hot.

No, the cpu is at 43 degrees, but the motherboard is at 82 degrees. It's 2 different temps. according to the bios and speedfan.

Feel the northbridge and then that will tell you if its ~80*C or not. I usually trust the bios before software, but maybe your bios is fubared? Maybe try flashing it?

The fact that it doesn't pick up your fans is also a little worrying

I'll check to see if there's a bios update available. When I put my deskfan at the side, it brings the temp down to 70, and thats where it stays.
