That's right folks, for the same price you will now receive a 64 pg A5 GEAR supplement with PCFormat. It will be done by the same editorial team that do PCF with the addition of Dawid (Panorama's new online Ed and gaming nut). I have just finished the redesign and everybody is working furiously to get their editorial content handed over. We are VERY tired so please be gentle with the responses! Can't wait till you lot see it

+1 NAG's reviews are more like game summaries nowadays... I'm hoping G.E.A.R can blow this out the water and become something professional and upper-class. I'm sure it can.

yes, like years ago when tv was still The Newest Thing. stopped after just a handful of issues.

They only did that to introduce the mag to the public and create awareness of it. Brilliant marketing strat if you ask me. They had full exposure within the first two months.

I love the Gear Mag but can you tell me - why have you made it for consoles only? At the top you specify which console the game is available on but you have left PC out. This makes it useless to me as I prefer gaming on my PC. I know a lot of those games in the last issue are available on PC - but I did not learn that from your mag. I still need to buy your competitor mag to find out that info

PC games go in PCF Tribbs. I will give the 'available-on' and 'equivalent' titles some thought. The objective of splitting them is to diversify readership. Since PCF readers tend to hold on to their mags we wanted GEAR to circulate within the family to the console/casual gamers. Hope it helps

But it couldn't hurt just to add a PC tab as I like the Gear too. My kids do the console thing but they also play PC. They know that if it is a game Mommy likes - they will not get it on the console - but on the PC. This helps them plan and find reasons why I should buy the console version Like Star Wars - the Force Unleashed. My son had a ton of reasons as to why I had to buy it on PS3
