Damn...just found some code on the net...and chopped and changed it as needed. Needed this code to read a specific system mailbox via our Intranet, so ja. Got it working and am very pleased with myself.

Anyways...power like this is not all good. I can basically read email on anyone's Inbox account here at work. Just need to change 1 line of code. Man...the stuff I would be able to see, and no one would know. Luckily Im not that kinda guy though. I kinda understand now how hacking can appeal to people and why they get so drawn in to that lifestyle...scary stuff.

that is dangerous indeed, could blackmail nicely with that. or u could even park outside ppls houses with a lappie, log onto their net and read their emails, get some serious info on there :O

And that is why I soooo hate pop and imap mail accounts. They are as insecure as can be.

Yeah...is a bit crazy...gotta be careful with this...cos if anyone has slight knowledge of this and they stumble across it....sheesh...could be terrible! Will just let me boss know of the risks before we make this live, sure its just the one system account...but if someone manages to find a way to get the code, well Im the only developer...but you never know I guess.

Think I might just store the params etc in a SQL Server database...nothing is 100% secure...but will make it that much more difficult to "crack".

What kind of mail server are you using?

Or is it an HTML site on the intranet (like custom webmail for your co)?
