Time to upgrade to something sexy

Post by maxxis »

I think the time has come to upgrade to something new

My options are

Honda Accord Type-S

Mazda 6 2.3

Ford Mondeo ST220

Just need to weigh up the pros and cons of each.

What do you guys think?

Any reason you're going for those specifically? Also, what is your budget? New? second hand?

You're in my area which means my brother can source you something cheaply - he is a dealer...

PM me if you'd like me to see what he can do...

Accord FTW  If I could I wouldn't even weighed it up. I've been in love with it since the new shape came out.

Main reason for picking those is the big car feel and something with power.

Would also look at a Subaru WRX at a good price and even an Audi Avant or BMW Touring.

Im just tired of the small car thing with the Jazz. It never felt right on the road to me.

Motorplan :D

Not too worried about maintenance. If its out of warranty and motorplan I can always take it to guys I know in Honeydew.

As for the 6. I should never have gone with Kevin in that Mazda6 MPS. Now that is a car :o

The Accord gets my vote from those three cars.
Mazda 6 MPS is a serious machine, serious fuel consuming properties as well though.

Funny thing with the MPS is that its not that heavy on fuel unless you drive like a maniac.

Honda Accord (Been in love with the car since I first saw it).

Mazda 6 comes close

My personal opinion... I don't like the mondeo and it shouldn't even be in the same class as the honda and mazda

I'd take the Focus ST over the Mondeo.

Not on the list. Don't want another hatchback.

4 door saloons or tourers only.

Also don't really want forced induction.

Go for the Subaru WRX Sti...yeah I know its not that new but dude that is one awsome car that always gets my attention.

Or you could get a new core i7 ? or maybe a HD4870X2 ?

Or you could just stick with the car idea...
Asus P5N-D / InnoVission 9800GT OC / 4GB ddr2 800mhz / Intel 1.8 Dual-Core / 160 GB Hdd / 19" Mercury Widescreen / Razer Kriat / Thermalake Flare-Board / Divoom TITAN 717

Dude word of advise. A Scoobie is the best car eva unless you actually gonna take it in to a dealer. My dad drove is Impreza for 4 years and 300 000km before replacing the can belt. That is wow. At 180 000km he swopped the spark plugs for the first time. Yeah tires and shocks is normal wear and tear. After he took the car to their garages everything went downhill. It is not just him of course I have heard the same from other owners. People who take their scoobies to the dealers for services sit with unending problems while the others never even need to pop the hood. Oh and my dad had his car to every dealer he could find and they are still after about 2 years strugling to fix a damn clutch problem.

I would imagine that the standard Mazda 6 and Honda Accord would be better in the fuel consumption stakes though?
The MPS is a beauty though 8)

Anyway, buy the Honda and stop dragging your feet

I think they are all very decent cars that you really could not go wrong with. if I was to chose one I would go with accord really. Mazda just doesn't thrill me as much to look at and the ford seems pretty doomed but it's a looker and goes like stink. Plus the accord has a better resale value and looks amazing.

Will you be putting your current sound into it?
