Problem with 3G on Linpus Linux

Hi does anyone know about problems associated with Huawei 3G card and Linpus Linux? I recently bought an Acer Aspire One with Linux, the 3G card is detected but not able to connect. The 3G card works fine in Windows...

is the device listed when you run lspci?

i believe the betavine offshoot of vodafones first forray into linux drivers is fairly reliable...

there's plenty out there if the betavine option doesn't work, but it's a little more technical, (using wvdial, pppd, etc...

Ok. I don't understand "lspci" or "wvdial" etc.

lspci == "list PCI"... you would typically run the command in a console/shell..

how comfortable are you with linux?
